Arquitectura teatral (1950 - 2000)

Abstract

A principios del siglo XX el cine transforma definitivamente los modelos teatrales heredados del XVII y del XVII, a través de un proceso de adaptación de los modelos en vigor a las necesidades existentes. Si inicialmente el cine se concibe más como una actividad casi ferial que como una manifestación artística, ante el aumento de la demanda y el desarrollo de sus posibilidades creativas, emprende la búsqueda de nuevos prototipos arquitectónicos que lo acojan y superen los provisionales alojamientos de escasa condición arquitectónica que constituían su albergue original. Las variaciones respecto de los modelos de teatro existentes son, en el fondo, menores. La mayor parte de las arquitecturas significativas de la evolución de la arquitectura teatral del siglo XX pertenecen a prestigiosos arquitectos, y su descripción ilustra el panorama de la centuria. At the beginning of the 20th century cinema transforms definitively the theatrical models inherited from the 17th and the 18th, through a process of adjustment of the models in effect to the existing needs. If initially the cinema is conceived more as an almost fairground activity that as an artistic manifestation, as a result of the increasing demand and the development of its creative possibilities, it tackles the search of new architectural prototypes that overcome with the provisional housings of scanty architectural condition that were constituting its original lodging. The variations regard to the existing models of theatre they are minor. Most of the significant architectures of the evolution of the theatrical architecture of the 20th century belongs to prestigious architects, and its description illustrates the panorama of the century.
