dc.description.abstractThe theory which holds that in the Tractatus a thought is a psycholo-gical entity is foundational to important interpretations of Wittgens-tein's philosophical psychology. The view that the theory receives poweful support from Wittgenstein's 1919 letter to Russell has been challenged by Peter Carruthers. This paper argues that Carruthers's challenge fails.es_ES
