Docentes, familias y órganos de representación escolar

Abstract

This research seeks to understand the help provided by teachers to families of students so that they will participate in the Association of Parents of Students (AMPA) and School Council Center (CEC). For this purpose, a questionnaire applied to 225 teachers who teach Infant, Primary and Secondary Education in a multicultural context has been used. The results show moderate levels of teacher support. Likewise, statistical significance is observed in the AMPA and CEC dimensions regarding some sociodemographic variables. Contextualized intervention programs aimed at teachers are recommended to optimize family participation in both parent representation bodies.

En esta investigación se pretende conocer la ayuda que presta el profesorado a las familias para que éstas participen en la Asociación de Madres y Padres de Alumnos (AMPA) y el Consejo Escolar del Centro (CEC). Para ello, se ha utilizado un cuestionario aplicado a 225 docentes de Educación Infantil, Primaria y Secundaria en un contexto multicultural. Los resultados muestran moderados niveles de facilitación docente. Asimismo, se aprecia significación estadística en las dimensiones AMPA y CEC, en función de algunas variables sociodemográficas. Se recomiendan programas de intervención dirigidos al profesorado para optimizar la participación familiar en sendos órganos de representación parental.
