El lenguaje de los Derechos Humanos en el magisterio pontificio

Abstract

The Catholic Church is one of the most important actors in the field of human rights in the international arena. Nevertheless, the acceptance of such rights in the Pontifical Magisterium has had its ups and downs that are reflected in the vatican documents. The aim of this work, departing from a linguistic analysis, is to make an approach to the causes that explain the divergence and subsequent convergence of the matter, as well as its current state.

La Iglesia católica es uno de los actores más importantes de los derechos humanos en el ámbito internacional. Sin embargo, la aceptación de tales derechos en el Magisterio pontificio ha sufrido vaivenes históricos que tienen su reflejo en los documentos vaticanos. Este trabajo, partiendo de un análisis lingüístico, pretende explicar las causas del desencuentro y posterior reconciliación, así como el estado actual de la cuestión.
