Abstract

This article offers a critical and annotated edition of La zurriaga, a hitherto unpublished text, part of the literary polemic triggered by Quevedo in 1632 with his attack against Pérez de Montalbán. This new text is an anonymous libel attacking Quevedo’s La perinola, while refuting some of the criticism levelled by Quevedo against Pérez de Montalbán’s Para todos. This critical edition is based on three manuscripts held in libraries in Madrid, one of which attributes the text to father Niseno.

Edición crítica y anotada de La zurriaga, texto inédito de la polémica desatada en 1632 entre Quevedo y Pérez de Montalbán. Se trata de un opúsculo anónimo que ataca La perinola de Quevedo y refuta algunas de las críticas que este hace al Para todos de Pérez de Montalbán. La edición está basada en tres manuscritos conservados en Madrid, en uno de los cuales se atribuye el texto al padre Niseno.
