"Analogia entis, analogia fidei". Karl Barth dialoga con teólogos católicos

Abstract

A hundred years after the publication of the first edition of the commentary to the <i>Epistle of the Romans</i> (1919), the famous Barthian consideration of the <i>analogia entis</i> as «an invention of the Antichrist» and «the reason why I cannot become a Catholic» regains its prevalence. Nonetheless, this assertion has evolved as time goes by. In this article, we will study the answers given by Catholic thinkers as Erich Przywara, Gottlieb Söhngen, Jérôme Hamer, Henri Bouillard, Hans Urs von Balthasar, Hans Küng, and some more recent authors of the Italian and Anglo-Saxon areas. The opposition between <i>analogia entis</i> and <i>analogia relationis</i>, concretized in <i>analogia fidei</i>, has developed several interpretations in different directions. This article will suggest the continuity between both dimensions –which are inseparably united to charity– by alluding to their Trinitarian origin.

Al cumplir cien años de la publicación de la primera edición del comentario a la <i>Epístola a los romanos</i> (1919), cobra de nuevo actualidad la célebre afirmación barthiana de considerar la <i>analogia entis</i> como «la invención del Anticristo» y «la razón por la que no puedo hacerme católico». Tal aserto evoluciona sin embargo con el tiempo. En estas líneas recorremos las respuestas realizadas por los pensadores católicos Erich Przywara, Gottlieb Söhngen, Henri Bouillard, Hans Urs von Balthasar y otros autores más recientes de las áreas italiana y anglosajona. La oposición entre <i>analogia entis</i> y <i>analogia relationis</i>, concretada en la <i>analogia fidei</i>, ha suscitado numerosas interpretaciones en una y otra dirección. En estas líneas se sugiere la continuidad de estas dimensiones, inseparablemente unidas a la caridad y con una referencia a su origen trinitario.
