Comprender y acompañar las vocaciones en la era de la post-verdad

Abstract

The study considers the dynamics of the Christian vocation of young people. The first part provides a reflection on personal accompaniment in discovering one’s vocation, in the context of Christian hope. Then, the specific vocation of young people is considered, paying attention to the temptation of an easy life. Third, the study reflects upon the notion of ‘post-truth’ marking the times we live in, and the sensation many young people have of being ‘in exile’. The value of the life, example and experience of older people on the youth is emphasized, and this requires that the former do not ‘discard’ the latter.

El estudio considera la dinámica de la vocación cristiana de los jóvenes. En primer lugar se reflexiona sobre el acompañamiento de las personas en el camino vocacional, en el contexto de la esperanza cristiana. Luego se considera la vocación específica de los jóvenes, teniendo en cuenta la frecuente tentación hacia una vida cómoda. Y en tercer lugar se concentra sobre la ‘postverdad’ que caracteriza la época actual y hace sentirse ‘desterrados’ a los jóvenes. Se insiste sobre el gran valor para el joven de la vida y ejemplo y experiencia de personas mayores, y sobre la necesidad que estas no ‘descarten’ a aquellos.
