Don y gratuidad en el Magisterio social de Benedicto XVI. Recepción en los trabajos de Doctrina Social de la Iglesia en Hispanoamérica

Abstract

Esta tesis examina las nociones de don y de gratuidad presentes en el magisterio social de Benedicto XVI, a fin de estudiar la recepción y el alcance que dichos conceptos han tenido en los trabajos de Doctrina Social de la Iglesia (DSI) realizados en el ámbito hispanoamericano, desde 2009 hasta el año 2019. Igualmente, busca conocer si el tratamiento del don en la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia, a partir del Compendio de la Doctrina Social de la Iglesia, pasando por la carta encíclica Caritas in veritate, hasta incluir los Mensajes por la Jornada Mundial de la Paz, muestra algunas influencias de la reflexión contemporánea sobre el don en el ámbito de las ciencias sociales. El trabajo realizado permite advertir la significativa consideración que han tenido las nociones de don y de gratuidad presentes en el magisterio social de Benedicto XVI y cómo estas nociones han motivado la realización de una serie de estudios posteriores. Sin embargo, ni el don ni la gratuidad son conceptos aislados, sino que más bien estas nociones han sido presentadas, por Benedicto XVI, dentro de una propuesta de cambio de paradigma, teológicamente basada en las relaciones trinitarias de Dios. Se trata de la noción de relacionalidad, desde la perspectiva de la gran familia humana.

This thesis examines the notions of gift and gratuity present in the social magisterium of Benedict XVI, in order to study the reception and scope that these concepts have had in the works of Social Doctrine of the Church (SDC) carried out in the Hispanic American area, from 2009 to 2019. It also seeks to know if the treatment of the gift in the Social Doctrine of the Church, from the Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church, through the encyclical letter Caritas in veritate to include the Messages for the World Day of Peace, shows some influence of contemporary discussion of the gift in the field of the social sciences. The work carried out allows us to notice the significant consideration that the notions of gift and gratuity have had in the social magisterium of Benedict XVI and how these notions have motivated the realization of a series of subsequent studies. However, neither gift nor gratuitousness are isolated concepts, but rather these notions have been presented by Benedict XVI within a proposal for a paradigm shift, theologically based on the Trinitarian relations of God. It is about the notion of relationality «within» the perspective of the great human family.
