Revisión de la clave de la psicología de Franz Brentano: el intelecto agente

Abstract

En este trabajo se estudia el tratamiento de F. Brentano del intelecto agente en tres de sus obras. Se concluye que, para él, es una ‘potencia’ inmaterial y no cognoscitiva del alma humana, una fuerza activa no preexistente a ella, pero que subsiste con ella post mortem; su papel es abstractivo, no de activación del intelecto posible, razón o inteligencia

In this work we study the treatment of F. Brentano over the agent intellect in three of his works. We conclude that, for him, it is an immaterial and non-cognitive ‘power’ of the human soul, an ‘active force’ not pre-existent to it, but subsisting with it post-mortem; Its role is abstractive, not activation of the possible intellect, reason or intelligence.
