Oralidad, escritura y puntuación en la fraseología histórica. El «Libro de refranes» de Pedro Vallés (1549)

Abstract

As a contribution to the historical phraseology of Spanish, this article proposes a model of analysis and classification of the wisdom forms of the sixteenth century from the point of view of the relationship between orality and writing, on the basis of examination of the <em>Libro de refranes </em>compiled by Pedro Vallés (Zaragoza, 1549). On the one hand, attention is focused on the metrical and rhythmic factors in the composition of repeated speech forms. On the other hand, the punctuation marks and the graphic sequencing are analyzed from a graphematic perspective. The results of the analysis allow us to postulate that the punctuation of the print is from the paremiographer Pedro Vallés and not the result of the editorial work of a printer.

Como contribución a la fraseología histórica del español, este artículo presenta un modelo de análisis y clasificación de las formas sapienciales del siglo XVI desde el punto de vista de las relaciones entre oralidad y escritura, a partir de un estudio de las unidades léxicas recopiladas por Pedro Vallés en el <em>Libro de refranes </em>(Zaragoza, 1549). Por una parte, se considera el factor métrico-rítmico en la composición de las formas de discurso repetido; por otra parte, se estudia la codificación gráfica de estas unidades en cuanto a los signos de puntuación y a los fenómenos de secuenciación gráfica. Los resultados del análisis permiten postular que la puntuación del impreso es del paremiógrafo Pedro Vallés, y no fruto del trabajo editorial de un impresor.
