Atanasio e Melezio: tentativi e fallimenti alla ricerca della comunione ecclesiale

Abstract

The study deals with the Alexandrian and Antiochian events of the years 362-363, with the unsuccessful attempts at reconciliation between the various dissenting anti-Arian groups. The focus is on the failure to achieve ecclesial communion between Athanasius and Meletius. Although ecclesial politics motives were certainly very influential, the study tries to show that theological motives should not be overlooked either, namely the deficient pneumatology of the Meletians.

El estudio trata de los acontecimientos en Alejandría y Antioquía en los años 362-363, y de los intentos de reconciliación entre los distintos grupos de antiarrianos en conflicto. La atención se centra en el fracaso de la comunión eclesial entre Atanasio y Melecio. Si bien, las motivaciones de política eclesial fueron determinates, el estudio intenta demostrar que no deben ser pasadas por alto las motivaciones teológicas, a saber, la escasa pneumatología de los melecianos.
