Nostalgia de futuro: el transhumanismo y la libertad trascendental
(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2021) Monterde-Ferrando, R. (Rafael)
This article analyses the notion of nostalgia for the future in order to understand its meaning in the context of transhumanist philosophy and the philosophy of Leonardo Polo. The representatives of transhumanism have been chosen as those who historically are its intellectual fathers: Julian Huxley and Fereidoun M. Esfandiary, who later changed his name to FM-2030. The aim of the article is to analyse the two philosophies in order to deepen the desire for transcendence that each develops and to see to what extent a dialogue between the two is possible.

Organizar el tiempo humano: Trabajo, política y gobierno
(Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra, 2020) Martínez-Echevarría-y-Ortega, M.A. (Miguel Alfonso)
This article addresses the relationship between work and governance based on Leonardo Polo’s work on economics and organizations, published in Volume 25 of his Complete Works, a reflection that establishes a deeper and broader vision of the meaning of politics. It also presents a critique of modern economics’ methodology, especially Adam Smith’s amalgamation of the concept of work with that of productivity, thus giving rise to serious confusion when it comes to understanding work, its relationship to governance, and its openness to politics.
