The terms Open Society, progress and critical discussion are connected in Popper's thought. To show their relationship, this article first, characterizes the Open Society and the aspects of progress identified in it. Then, it stresses the relevance of critical discussion both in the genesis and in the way of proceeding in an Open Society. Next, it analyzes the confidence that Popper has in progress. And, finally, it highlights the importance of moral progress for the Open Society.es_ES
