Job’s iconography in the XVIIth Century and in particular the engraves included in the princeps of Commentariorum in Iob by the Jesuit Juan de Pineda (1598), are samples of Quevedo’s Constancia y paciencia del Santo Job. The study explains Quevedo’s typical baroque interpretation of Job as Christ figure and memento mori. | es_ES |
