This article analyses the preliminaries written by González de Salas to El Parnaso español (1648), whose purpose is to highlight Quevedo’s work. The work by González de Salas represents Spanish erudition of the XVIIth century with his commentaries to the Poetic by Aristotle and the edition of Petronius’ Satyricon. Due to that knowledge, the preliminaries to Quevedo’s poetic work published in 1648 are a good source of information on books, authors and topics to understand the concept of erudition. | es_ES |
