The introduction of monstrous aspects in Queyedo's Sueños and Gracián's Criticón affects in some cases to creation of texts, to remodelling not mimetic of daily world or the invention of horrible and distorted images. This essay tries to compare the differences of these monstrous aspects in both authors. While in Quevedo these aspects entangle the semantic identity of the texts and stress its ambivalent reception, Gracián tries to keep the expansion of his writing subsuming monstrous images under different methods of the allegorical way of representation. | es_ES |
