La desdramatización de la jácara en Quevedo reformada por Calderón

Abstract

The doubt about the origin of the "jácara" gender can throw different perspectives on its function and characteristics in the works of Quevedo. Initially, the "jácara" does not necessarily have a theatrical origin, but rather a lyrical one, when the poet begins its regeneration and strengthening. Just years later, with the intervention, among others, of Calderón de la Barca, the "jácaras" become fully dramatic and acquire the theatrical values that are few, if not null, in the difficult texts of Quevedo.

La duda sobre el origen del género jácara puede arrojar diferentes perspectivas sobre su función y características en la obra de Quevedo. En principio, la jácara no tiene forzosamente un origen dramático, sino lírico y de él parte el poeta para su regeneración y fortalecimiento. Solo años más tarde, con la intervención, entre otros, de Calderón de la Barca, las jácaras se hacen plenamente dramáticas y adquieren los valores teatrales que son escasos, si no nulos, en los difíciles textos quevedianos.
